Chickens, ducks, goats, and pigs are always stealing the show, but worms are an integral part of how Makerfarm helps the community divert waste, build soil, and grow delicious food and beautiful flowers. Our worms are so happy at the Makerfarm that we have plenty to share with the community. Next time you visit the Makerfarm, check out the filing cabinet next to the Compost Hub, grab a container of worms, put them in your garden, or start your own worm bin. Compost Hub Makerfarmers are also cooking up smoking hot compost, sharing biochar, and will soon be reopening the regular free compost pickup in partnership with the City of Alameda and Stopwaste.org.

This solutions-focused, totally non-woo intro workshop gives you a quick overview of the human stress response, the difference between stress and stressors (and the practical reasons it matters), a framework to make more skillful choices around your overwhelm and set yourself up for success, and an activity you can do to start building resilience to stress now so over time you can bounce back better! Includes a personalization worksheet to do in the workshop to support you in actually making the change you want to see (not just making a resolution). Advance reservations are required.
