Events at Makerfarm

We welcome mutual aid projects, community-based organizations, artists, and youth to organize events at the Makerfarm.

We specifically want to welcome Black, Indigenous, and queer led organizations and ones organized around anti-bigotry as an organizing principle.

Below is our process for approving events at the farm and expectations of organizers.

If you are an outside organization, please give us as much lead time as you can since our general membership meetings occur on a monthly basis.

Approval criteria

Reading from right to left, find the column with a statement that matches the event you are planning.

Expectations for people hosting events

  • While masking outdoors is not required, it is strongly encouraged if large groups of people will be in close proximity to each other.

  • Please encourage event attendees to donate to the Makerfarm.

  • Please leave the common areas the way you found them (or cleaner).

Trash cans are located next to the Main Street Entrance gate.

  • A Makerfarmer has to be present throughout the whole duration of any event for every 25 guests.

  • Unless previously agreed upon with an Active Makerfarmer, please provide your own firewood and propane.

Before lighting a fire in a firepit, please consult Spare the Air and don’t do it if an air quality warning has been issued.

If you use any of the sinks, please empty the graywater buckets on any nearby plant before leaving.
