Volunteer Night

  • Alameda Maker Farm 2700 Barbers Point Road Alameda, CA, 94501 United States (map)

Come by the farm to help with communal projects like mulching paths, building infrastructure, and organizing resources.

No previous skills needed other than willingness to learn, but skill leadership is very welcome.

It’s a great evening to show up and do some cool stuff around the farm.

  • Can anyone think of a cheap way to build a mobile fence to let chickens peck the weeds on the mount? Build one tonight?

  • Do you like making signs and playing with painting? We could use some paint on our chicken container so it can become a community bulletin board.

  • Do you like building shelves? We need some in the wood container so we can finally get it organized.

  • Do you like building boxes? We'd like 2 vermin-proof boxes to store food waste buckets so neighbors can drop off food for our pigs and chickens.

  • Do you wanna be left alone after work? Come pull some weeds! Nobody will bother you cause they'll be so thankful.

Volunteer night is a great time to engage friends and the community, learn new skills, ask questions about projects you'd like to work on.

Are any of these things you've always wanted to do but lacked tools/knowledge/confidence to do them?

Is there anything else you've wanted to do at the farm but didn't have time/agency/permission?

Let us know, we'll make it happen!

5:00 PM to Sundown every Thursday.

See you there!
