Community Potlucks
Monthly, date varies (see calendar below)
Join Makerfarmers, project volunteers, and community members at our monthly potlucks. We welcome you there whether you are able to bring a dish or not.

Farmcycles Free Bike Repair Clinic
Spring-Fall, Third Sunday of each month, 12-2PM
We have all the tools, some of the expertise, and all the eagerness to get you riding smoothly and safely again. We’ll even show you how to do simple repairs yourself.

Compost Hub
Wednesdays & Saturdays 10AM-5PM
Stop by to pick up free compost, provided by the City of Alameda & StopWaste.org. Please limit yourself to 1 carload or 3 bikeloads of compost per month, thanks!
Last compost drop of 2024 happened mid November, get yours before it runs out! Once it’s gone, Compost Hub will resume in March 2025.
We still have a little free woodchips & straw.

Annual Summer Music Party & Campout
August, see calendar below
Starting with a potluck Friday at 5pm, music until midnight, overnight campout, and ending with Saturday brunch.
Featuring local bands, and events like clothing swap, workshops from our MakerFarmers, and learning about the farm. Kids welcome! Nobody turned away due to lack of funds, but donations to the farm and the presenters are appreciated.

Animals Program Youth Open House Days
Third Sundays, 12PM-2PM
Weekly after school hours coming in December!Come pet goats, chickens, and ducks, and learn about our farm animals!
Kids will need to have permission slips signed (at least annually) in order to participate.

Sharpen your Drill Bits Workshop
How to sharpen drill bits by hand- it's EASY! Nothing fancy required, just an angle grinder and a messed up drill bit (I will bring the angler grinder for the workshop). It will be a short 1 hour thing. Bring your f#@ked up drill bits!

Planting for Pollinators: Matching Pollinators to their Plants
Register for the pollinators class here.
Learn which native plants are beloved of pollinator species and suitable for Bay Area gardens. Subjects include: proper planting, succession planting, annuals vs perennials, natives vs nonnatives and focus plants; local pollinators and the plants they need for nectar, pollen, seeds and reproduction.
